Sony has been a leading
innovator and forward-thinker in bringing Organic LED technology to the
market.
Sony
first brought OLED technology to the public in 2001 when it developed a
13" color OLED display, the largest OLED screen the world had ever seen.
In 2003, Sony went even bigger and continued to show its OLED courage when it unveiled a 24" diagonal OLED panel prototype.
Then in 2007, Sony confirm its status as a head leader in Organic LED TV technology development when it showcased the 11" diagonal XEL-1 Organic TV, the first-ever OLED TV made available for purchase in the U.S.
